I’m going inside someday.
I am going to be receiving my endowments this Saturday! I am so excited!
As I have prepared to go through, I have learned so much! Here are seven things that my Stake President suggested I study before I go and I have found each of these things to be empowering and inspiring! It’s a cool idea to study one of these things each day the week before you go through the temple. Here are the seven things:
DAY ONE: D&C 109, 128, and 132; Moses 2-5
DAY TWO: Temple Preparation Teacher Manual – https://www.lds.org/manual/endowed-from-on-high-temple-preparation-seminar-teachers-manual?lang=eng
DAY THREE: FAQ about the temple- https://www.lds.org/church/temples/frequently-asked-questions?lang=eng
DAY FOUR: Elder Nelson’s CES address on temples – https://www.lds.org/ensign/2006/02/young-adults-and-the-temple?lang=eng
DAY FIVE: President Ezra Taft Benson’s address on teaching about temples- http://www.lds.org/ensign/1985/08/what-i-hope-you-will-teach-your-children-about-the-temple?lang=eng
DAY SIX: President Howard W. Hunter’s instruction on temples as the symbol of our membership- https://www.lds.org/ensign/1994/10/the-great-symbol-of-our-membership?lang=eng
DAY SEVEN: Symbols and the Temple- https://www.lds.org/ensign/2007/02/why-symbols?lang=eng&query=symbolism
These seven things are a wonderful way to prepare, but it is really hard to prepare fully for the temple endowment since many things are sacred. Going to temple prep, studying the scriptures, praying, and learning to understand how the Holy Spirit communicates with you are super important things to do before you go through the temple. It is a wonderful place. It is God’s house. I can’t wait to go through.
